Your data, handled with care

We only collect what you choose to give us, plus a small amount of technical information your browser sends automatically:

a. Information you provide — customer early access: your name and WhatsApp / mobile number (required), and optionally your neighbourhood, the service you are interested in, and any note you add. An email address is stored only if you provide one.

b. Information you provide — partner / professional application: your name, mobile number, gender and city.

c. Technical information collected automatically: your IP address and browser / device information (user-agent) at the moment you submit a form. We use this only to keep the site secure and to prevent spam and abusive automated submissions.

We process your personal data only for the following specific purposes:

• To add you to our pre-launch early-access list and reserve your spot.
• To contact you — primarily on WhatsApp, and by phone or email — with genuine updates about our launch, and to give early-access members priority at launch.
• To receive and evaluate your application to work with NammaHelp as a professional, and to call you about next steps.
• To prevent spam, fraud and abuse, and to keep the website secure.

We will not use your personal data for any new purpose without first seeking your consent.

We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the consent box and submit a form, as required by Section 6 of the DPDP Act. Your consent is limited to the purposes described in this Policy.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, and it is as easy to withdraw as it was to give. Simply email us at [email protected] and we will stop processing your data and remove you from our lists. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

Your data is stored securely and access is restricted to the NammaHelp team members who need it for the purposes above. We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect it against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

We keep your data only as long as needed for the purpose you gave it — that is, up to our launch and a reasonable period after, so we can onboard early-access members and applicants. After that, or once you ask us to delete it, we securely erase it.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in these limited situations:

• With trusted service providers who host our website and store our data on our behalf (our Data Processors), under obligations of confidentiality and only to provide services to us.
• Where required by law, a court, or a lawful request from a government authority, or to protect our rights, safety and property.

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
• Ask us to correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Ask us to erase your personal data.
• Withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 3).
• Register a grievance with us and have it addressed (see Section 7).

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational under the DPDP Act.

This website and our sign-up forms are intended for adults (18 years and over). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us their data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised Policy.

This Policy is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to it.
